Due to the fast spreading of Coronavirus and Government advice it is no longer possible for us to gather together to worship. Instead we are producing worship a home services over the internet so we can join together remotely.
Instructions for joining in the service We use a technology called Zoom to join together for this service. Zoom can be used on landline telephone, smart phone, tablet or PC. Landline Telephone You can join by just using your landline telephone, dialling 0203 481 5237 and when prompted entering the meeting ID and password. Using Smart phone or Tablet If you are using a smart phone or tablet you need to install the app ‘Zoom’. Set up a free account with Zoom (you will need to enter your Date of Birth, email address and create a password). Once you have created the account login using these credentials. Once you have logged on through the app you are ready to join a meeting using the meeting ID and Password. Computer To use Zoom on a PC, go to www.zoom.us and sign-up for a free account (you will need to enter your Date of Birth, email address and create a password). Login using these credentials and select join a meeting. You will be asked to download and install some software which will connect to your webcam and computer audio. Once you have installed the software you will need to login again on the programme and then you will be ready to join a meeting using the MeetingID and Password provided. Safety The normal rules for internet safety apply when using Zoom. Do not share any personal information, do not accept requests for people you don’t know. If you feel unsure close the software and seek support. More information can be found of Diocese of Coventry website.
Hello Gorgeous People, This week we have been thinking about Psalm 95 and the theme of the Psalm being worship. We have found as a family that at times getting together in the same room with everybody participating in the worship rather tricky. Somebody always gets grumpy. We always encounter a real change in the atmosphere in our house after we have worshipped together as a family. There is a lightness and joy in the atmosphere. Worshipping Jesus shifts the spiritual atmosphere in our homes. Our midweek craft activity is to make some worship flags to use in our praise. There are lots of worship songs you can use. 3 of our favourite YouTube channels for all age songs are; Bethel kids especially for slightly older children New Wine great for pre-school and KS1 Soul Survivor for teenagers
Maybe you could even hand then up when you have finished waving them.
Last Sunday we looked at Psalm 23. The Psalm starts 'The Lord is my shepherd'. What does it mean to have a shepherd watching over us, protecting us, guiding and leading us? This weeks midweek craft has been prepared by Sara. Sara and her family are encouraging us to make sheep as we think about Jesus as our shepherd. We used cotton wool & circular spongy brushes to paint the sheep but you could just use fingers (Jennifer's preferred approach) or paint brushes or the slightly less messy option of sticking on cotton wool instead of painting. I've attached a couple of examples made by my willing assistant, William.
This week is super exciting as we have a special video message for you from Kay checkout the link here. Like last time remember to light your candle as you start and remember the CD and choose one of the songs. Maybe try a new one that you don’t yet know. Blessings Dave
