OUR MISSION AS BEDWORTH PARISH IS FOURFOLD
Intimate Worship
God is worthy of our worship and adoration and while we recognise that worship is a lifestyle, we see a biblical priority in spending time corporately and through song, telling God how much we love him. When we spend time worshipping God he meets with us, heals us and empowers us, but this is a wonderful by-product. Worship is to God, for God and about God. We want to hold many different types of service to enable people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to worship Jesus. |
Making New Disciples
We want to bring the good news of Jesus to everyone in Bedworth. We want to do it in ways that are relevant and accessible to us Bedworth folk. Our aim is to equip those who come to church to go out and share the good news about Jesus and to be a place where people can come and discover more about Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Father God. He left his disciples (us) with the Great Commission to go and make new disciples, our vision is to provide many paths and ways for the Holy Spirit to work in bringing people to faith. |
Transforming communities
Jesus came to redeem the world. He healed, set free and transformed people and communities wherever he went. He often met people at their place of need. He fought injustice and served those in need. We want to do the same. We want to serve the people of our parish in practical ways, from social action to simply being a listening ear. We want to provide opportunities for people to stand up to the injustice in our world. We want to be at the heart of our community, both reaching out to people where they are and welcoming them in to take part in a wide range of activities. |
Being Family
We place high value on community and family. We desire to be one body, encouraging, challenging and loving one another through highs and lows. We aim to make our meetings accessible to everyone, valuing informality and fun. We take God seriously but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We believe that in God’s family we all have a part to play.

Jesus was concerned that people were too focussed about living their lives their own way and not God’s way. In our own day, we can increasingly see the world’s lifestyles at odds with what we believe to be an authentic Christian lifestyle. More and more, it seems to us, the church is called to be counter-cultural, sometimes going against the dominant views of society. As such, we believe we are called to be prophetic people, praying and sharing what our God is saying to Bedworth.
We believe that our faith as Christians is about more than believing and belonging. It is also a matter of our behaviour and how we conduct our lives. We want to encourage one another to learn what it means to ‘Love and Live God’s way’ and to following Jesus’ example – and put what we learn into practice.
